Ticketing and check-in.
If you are in a hurry and want to save your time you'd better travel by plane, because it is the fastest way of traveling. It is especially convenient when you go abroad. Now I would like to describe the procedure of ticketing and check-in. The passenger ticket and baggage check for an international flight issued in your name is personal and cannot be conceded to another person. Your ticket is issued at the normal fare and is valid for one year as of the date of commencement of flight. The day before your journey, study again the date in your ticket: airport of departure, the airline you are going to fly by, flight number, departure check-in time, the departure time of the aircraft. If you fail to arrive at the check-in in due time, you will not be accepted for transportation on the flight for which you have reserved a seat. When you arrive at the airport first you go to the check-in desk where they weigh your luggage. Usually you are permitted 20 kilos, but if your bags weigh more, you may have to pay excess baggage. Each one of your pieces of baggage will be tagged with a baggage tag with a serial number and the final destination of your baggage. The other piece of the baggage tag is stuck to the cover of your ticket. The airline representative checks your ticket and gives you a boarding card for the plane with your seat number on it. Then you go through passport control where an official checks your passport, and into the departure lounge. After the procedure of registration you board the plane at last. When you board the plane, you find your seat. You sit down in a comfortable armchair and in a few minutes you are already above the clouds. You can sit and read a book or a magazine, look through the window to watch the passing clouds change their colour from white to black.
